Phyllis Berger is a BSc Physiotherapy, Adjunct Professor Physiotherapy Department, School of Therapeutic Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of the Witwatersrand.
Professor Berger has been involved in Pain Management Physiotherapy since 1994. Her special interest is electrical currents and acupuncture. Many patients do not respond to interventional approaches and Professor Berger has developed innovative methods of combining physiotherapy, electrical currents, acupuncture and cognitive measures to improve pain. She has published books and many articles on the above subjects.
