Simiso Ntuli is currently the Head of Department of the Podiatry department at the University of Johannesburg and practices part-time at Lesedi Private Hospital in Soweto.
Before joining the University of Johannesburg, he worked as a Podiatrist for Ekurhuleni Metro-Municipality and in private practice in Soweto. Simiso spent four years in the United Kingdom where he worked in the NHS employed by the Redbridge PCT.
In January 2010, the University of Johannesburg Podiatry department appointed him as a Lecturer and appointed as Head of Department in 2014.
Mr. Ntuli has presented at local and international conferences primarily on the diabetic and rheumatoid foot. His interest is at risk foot (diabetic and rheumatoid foot) and the role of podiatry within public health particularly within primary health care.
He is the vice-chairperson of the Physiotherapy, Podiatry & Biokinetics Board and serves on the Education Training and Quality Assurance committee of the Health Professions Council of South Africa. He also serves as the chair of prescription rights task team and a vice chair of the education committee of the PPB board.
