Dear Friends and Colleagues

On behalf of the Organising Committee of the SARAA 2026 Congress I would like to warmly welcome all SARAA members and everyone interested in the dynamic field of rheumatology to join us at the SARAA Congress 2026. It will be held at the CSIR International Convention Centre in Pretoria from the 7^th – 10^th May 2026.

This is the highlight of SARAA’s calender every second year. It’s our chance as the South African Rheumatology Community to get together and showcase what’s happening in the country as well as around the world.

As you can see our congress theme is that we’re Rheumatology Heroes: Stonger through unity, unstoppable through purpose. We are a strong group dedicated to giving the highest quality care to our patients in an increasingly challenging environment.

We’re putting together a program filled with cutting edge keynote speakers, interactive sessions, and original local research all on a diversity of topics in rheumatology to inform and inspire.

The goal of the congress is not only to enlighten but to give us the opprtunity to catch up with colleagues, exchange ideas and strengthen the connections between us. We’ve planned social events and networking opportunities knowing that some of the most profound insights gained from a Congress can begin in these informal settings. I encourage you to make the most of these opportunities to meet new people and rekindle old friendships.
